William John Parnell
Tyneside Scottish N.F.
21st November 1916, age 34.

William was born in Craghead, Co. Durham, the son of James and Georgina, late of South Moor, Stanley. He was the husband of Ellen Smith (formerly Parnell), 17 Child Street, Guisborough.

William enlisted in Newcastle upon Tyne with ‘C’ Company, 1st Battalion Tyneside Scottish, 20th Northumberland Fusiliers and died at home of haemoptysis (coughing up blood).
