E. Oliver
Duke of Wellington’s Regt.
26th September 1920, age 34.

Edward was the husband of Margaret (nee Stirling), whom he married on 9th May 1908 at Newcastle upon Tyne. They lived at 18 Portland Street, Newcastle with their two children.

He enlisted at Newcastle on 5th June 1916, initially with the Northumberland Fusiliers (29276, Private) and was transferred to 1/7th and then the 2nd Battalion, Duke of Wellington’s on 19th September 1916. Edward died from Mitral and Aortic Regurgitation.
