7th August 1920.

Archibald was born in 1889, the son of Sarah A. of 58 Randall Street, Newcastle upon Tyne and the husband of Hannah, 16 Ramshaw Street, Elswick.

Archibald originally enlisted with the Royal Field Artillery on 1st May 1908 (formerly 786, Driver). He re-enlisted at Gosforth Park on 16th September 1914 and served with the 2nd Battery, 1st Northumbria Brigade.
