Quinn, A., Cpl., 1919
H.M. Prison Coroners report Number 429 dated 6th November 1919.

"Ambrose Quinn, aged 28 years, Soldier. 63 Hawes Street, Newcastle. Hanged in H.M. Prison at 9.15am on 26th November 1919.

Deceased died from fractured dislocation of the vertebrae in consequence of his having been hanged by the Public Executioner for the wilful murder of Elizabeth Ann Quinn in the City & County of Newcastle upon Tyne on 9th August 1919.

And the jury is of the opinion that the execution was legally and properly carried out."

Sunderland Echo11/08/1919 states he was a Corporal in the RAF.

He is remembered at Elswick on E35.10
