In Newcastle (St John Westgate & Elswick) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of:

1916195 Sapper
T. Mulgrew
Royal Engineers
1st July 1941, age 28.

Too dearly loved
to be forgotten
rest in peace.

Terence was born in County Durham to Thomas and Janet E. and lived in Brighton where he enlisted with the 672nd Artisan Works Company.

Terence died at home as the result of an accident. He is commemorated on the Army Roll of Honour.

His obituary appeared in the Newcastle Evening Chronicle Saturday, 05/07/1941 and read as follows:

On active service. July 1st, aged 28 years. Terence (Sapper, Mulgrew, 1916195), beloved son of the late Thomas and Janet Mulgrew. Interment Elswick Cemetery, Monday, leaving residence of his sister, 83 Mill Lane, 2pm. All friends kindly invited. R.I.P.
