Frederick John Finn was born in the first quarter of 1884 at Newcastle upon Tyne, the son of Martha (nee Finn) and the late John Little, 35 Greenhow Terrace, Elswick. Frederick enlisted at Newcastle with the 21st Battalion (2nd Tyneside Scottish) before transfer to the Depot Battalion. He died of wounds.
