R.C. Horner
Royal Air Force
6th September 1919, age 20.

After a storm

of sunshine.

Robert Charles was born on 14th March 1899 at Newcastle upon Tyne, the son of John and Ellen (nee Stewart) of Elswick. Prior to enlisting he worked as an Apprentice Fitter and Turner.

He served with No.1 Wireless School and his sister, Mrs Sarah Davison was listed as his next of kin. He was discharged from the service on 6th September 1919 and died of wounds at home.
