In Trois Arbres Cemetery, Steenwerck is the Commonwealth War Grave of 3462 Private John Redshaw, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 16/09/1916.

In Newcastle upon Tyne (St.John's Westgate and Elswick) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

Sacred to the memory of
Isabella
dearly beloved wife of
John Redshaw
who departed this life
November 1st 1883
aged 56 years.
Also Emily, second daughter of
the above and wife of E. Watson
who died October 26th 1887
aged 24 years.
Also the above John Redshaw,
died Sept. 16th 1907 aged 72 years.
Also their grandson
John Redshaw
died of wounds received in action
Sept. 16th 1916 aged 19 years.
Also Elizabeth Annie Redshaw
dearly beloved wife of
John Redshaw Junr.
died July 30th 1921 aged 50 years
Also the above
John Redshaw Junr.
died Sept. 14th 1939 aged 73 years
Also Daniel Redshaw
dearly beloved husband of Edith
died Dec. 9th 1977 aged 74 years.

The name of John Redshaw does not appear on any local memorial.
