Ever remembered by all.
Ernest was born in Scotswood, the son of Joanna and the late James of Elswick.
He enlisted in Newcastle with the 1st Battalion before being transferred to “C” Coy, 8th Battalion. He was wounded on 17th March 1916 and eventually died of his wounds at home.
