In Delville Wood Cemetery, Longueval, Somme, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 2747 Lance Corporal Roy Ferguson, serving with the 1st/6th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, who died 15/09/1916.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Ferguson, of 24, Linden Road, Gosforth.

Morpeth Herald 29/09/1916 carries a brief obituary:

News has been received of the death in action of Lance-Corporal Roy Ferguson, second son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Ferguson, of 29 Lindon [sic] Road, Gosforth.

He is remembered at Gosforth on G9.21 G9.22 and G9.40
