Cartwright, G., A/Smn., 1915
On the Helles Memorial is the name of KX/123 Able Seaman George Cartwright, serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 13/07/1915.

Colin Boyd has submitted the following:

George was living with his wife, Mary Jane at 166, Vine Street, Wallsend when he enlisted at the Northumberland Fusiliers on 1st September 1914.

He transferred to the RNVR on 9th September 1914 and was posted to the Nelson Battalion. George was posted as missing assumed killed in action on 13th July 1915 in Gallipoli.

Is he the "G. Cartwright" named in Blyth on B42.08?
