In Forenville Military Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of Second Lieutenant Archibald Strachen Clark, serving with the King's (Liverpool Regiment) who died 08/10/1918.

Temporary 2nd Lieutenant Archibald Straughan CLARK (Some Records show him as Strachan or Strachen)
The King’s (Liverpool Regiment) 13th Battalion

A Butcher, he was Initiated on the 29th August 1912; Passed 24th October 1912 and Raised on the 27th December 1912. He was killed in action on the 8th October 1918 aged 33 and is buried in Forenville Military Cemetery, Nord, France Grave Reference A.1. >

He is remembered on the Roll of Honour in the Freemasons’ Hall in London, See County Durham Notes

He is also remembered at South Shields on S86.027 and in S86.086 page 3

On S86.027 the letter E has been added to the surname.
