Whitley Bay Observer12/03/1920 reports:

"War Service recognized
Mr. and Mrs. W. Robertson of Denmark Street, South Shields, have received information that their daughter, Miss Clara Robertson, has been awarded the medal of the Order of the British Empire (Military Division) in recognition of valuable services rendered in connection with the war. Miss Robertson was regimental sergeant-major of the Q.M.A.A.C. Eastern Command."
