In Bois-De-Noulette British Cemetery, Aix-Noulette, Pas de Calais, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of Tyneside Z/7533 Able Seaman John Kennedy serving with the Nelson Battalion, Royal Naval Division, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 11/08/1916.

Son of the late John and Eliza M. Kennedy.

In Westoe Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:-

John Kennedy
Killed Aug. 11th 1916
Aged 33 years
Also his mother
Eliza M. Kennedy
Died Oct. 4th 1916
Aged 68 years
And father
John Kennedy
Died July 17th 1922 aged ??

John Kennedy is remembered at South Shields on S86.003 and S86.049
