In Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, Germany, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1322986 Sergeant William Jennings serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who died 05/05/1943.

Sgt. Jennings was killed when Short Stirling I EF345 LS-M of 15 Squadron was lost on a mission to Dortmund. The Stirling crashed near Anholt, with the loss of six of the eight crew members. The two survivors became Prisoners of War.
