In Ham British Cemetery, Muille-Villette is a Commonwealth War Grave headstone which reads

50144 Private
G.W. Lambert
17th Bn. King's Liverpool Rgt.
30th January 1918.

Private George William Lambert died of pneumonia. He had enlisted in the 17th Battalion King's Liverpool Regiment.

He had been in the N.E.R. for two and a half years, and had in that time taken duty at Bowes, Cockfield and High Shields as a passenger clerk. He enlisted in November 1916.
