E Henderson reported missing

In Ancre British Cemetery, Beaumont-Hamel is the Commonwealth War Grave of Tyneside Z/1687 Able Seaman Edward Henderson, serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 13/11/1916.

An unknown newspaper reports the following:

"Wounded in Action.

Official news has been received by his sister, Mrs Batten, of 62 Stead Street, Jarrow that her brother A.B., E. Henderson, Anson Battalion (late Collingwood) R.N.V.R., [TynesideZ/1687] has been wounded in action on the Gallipoli Peninsula. Prior to the war he worked at the Commissioners' Staithes, Whitehill Point, North Shields."

He is one of 4 brothers of the same family who have all enlisted.

Four sons from the Henderson Family at Kingston Cottages, Tyne Dock are serving with his Majesty's forces. Private R. Henderson, 19th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, the eldest is training at Salisbury Plain. Private William Henderson, 2nd West Yorks, is the second son and has been at the front for some time. He was wounded in action, but is back again in the fighting line. Third son is E. Henderson, [see above] who is with the Royal Naval Division at the Dardanelles, and has been out there for six month: the youngest is Corporal A. Henderson, 12th West Yorks, who is in France.
