The tragic way
You had to die
We will always remember
And wonder why

Son of Robert and Isabella Milne, of Hebburn.

Newcastle Journal 17/08/1945 reports:-

Two soldiers Sappers W. Milne and M. Phillips, of the Royal Engineers, were killed yesterday when their lorry was hit by a train. The accident occurred at what is known as the Rifle Range crossing Fritton, near Great Yarmouth.

William Falcolner Milne is not remembered on a local War Memorial.
