Son of William Harle Dobson and Selina Dobson, of Hebburn.

The Newcastle Journal 08/06/1940 reports:-

BURIED AT HEBBURN

The first Hebburn soldier, a victim of the war to be buried in Hebburn Cemetery is Private Heath Dobson, aged 22 of the East Surrey Regiment whose funeral took place yesterday from his home in Swindon Street, Hebburn.

Private Dobson was the only son of Sergt. William H Dobson and Mrs. Dobson and he was a militiaman. Private Dobson was wounded in the chest in Belgium. He died in London hospital half an hour after his admission.

The coffin was carried on a fire tender, and soldiers and the Hebburn British Legion were present.

Heath Dobson is not remembered on a local War Memorial.
