A sister of my great-grandfather, Robert Richardson, married a Thomas Semmence. They had a son Thomas F Semmence who moved from the Jarrow area to Hartlepool and married. He and Harriet had a son Thomas Walter Semmence who was born on 10th November 1893 (and baptised on 5th December the same year). In the 1911 census, Thomas W is working the the shipyards in Sunderland.
He enlisted in Hebburn and went to war and the attachment shows the rest. I searched on your site for Semmence and drew blank.
I wonder if I missed him or whether, having moved around so much, he was not put on any memorials.
Just curious.
