Robinson, R., Master, M.B.E., 1944
In Harton Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of Master Robert Robinson, M.B.E., serving with the Merchant Navy, who died 24/06/1944.

S.S. “Empire Lough” was a steamship of 2,824 tons, intercepted on 24 June 1944 by German E-boats in the English Channel and set on fire. Beached near Folkestone but a total loss.

He is remembered at Westoe in W101.08 page 70 and on our List of Ships’ crews
