Bell, W., Gnr., 1916
In Kemmel Chateau Military Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1841 Gunner William Bell, serving with the Royal Field Artillery who died 27/04/1916.

Soldiers Died in the Great War states that he was born and enlisted in Seaham Harbour.

In the Memorial Garden is a railing which bears poppies dedicated to individuals. One of these reads:

RFA 1841
Bell W
27/04/1916.

He is remembered in Seaham on S117.02, S117.04, S117.05 and S117.06
