In Guards Cemetery, Windy Corner, Cuinchy is the Commonwealth War Grave of Second Lieutenant Reginald Fydell Walker, serving with the Manchester Regiment who died 21/10/1914.

S. Nicholson has submitted the following

Walker Reginald Fydell. 2nd Lieutenant. 2nd Batt. Manchester Reg. Born 1894.
He was the son of David (Clergyman) and Martha Elizabeth Walker, late of Kirkby Fleetham Vicarage, Bedale, Yorks. He was educated at Shrewsbury School, 1908-13, Head of House, School Prefect, Choregus School football team. R.M.C. Sandhurst, 1913-14. He had been born at Grinton Vicarage, Richmond, Yorks. He lived at the Vicarage, Darlington

I might just add that 2nd Lieutenant Reginald Walker's grandfather, John Walker (1803/Kent), was a high court judge in India.

Reginald's father, Reverend David Walker, was born in Germany in 1854. He married Martha Elizabeth Smith in Leeds in 1892.

My Great Uncle, Private John Charles McCarthy, served under Reginald Walker. John Charles was killed at Trois Maisons c. 16/10/1914. His body was never found.
