In Giavera British Cemetery Arcade, Italy is the Commonwealth War Grave of 15867 Serjeant H.J. Addy M.M.serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 27/10/1918.

Henry James Addy was born in 1892 at Liverpool. He was the youngest of the three sons of Henry J. and Isabella Addy. In 1891 the family are at Linthorpe, in 1901 at Thornaby. In 1911 John (23), Alfred William (25) and Henry James (18) are living together at 40 Bickersteth Street in Stockton on Tees. They are all working at a Iron and Steel Works probably Bowesfield.

Henry James enlisted into the Northumberland Fusiliers and embarked for France 25/08/1915. He died in Italy in 1918.
