On the Tyne Cot Memorial is the name of S/25427 Private Stanley Inglis, serving with the Cameron Highlanders, who died 25/04/1918.

5th Battalion

The son of Alexander and Eleanor Inglis of 25 Hartington Road, Stockton-on-Tees. Enlisting at Stockton he was killed in action on the 25th August 1918 aged 26 and is Remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, Panel 136 to 138. His name appears in the Book of Remembrance in Stockton Parish Church.

NB He was also Remembered on a Memorial Panel in the Parish Church of Holy Trinity, Stockton but the whereabouts of this Memorial is not known.

Stanley Inglis is remembered in Stockton on S138.18a and S138.36
