Peckston, C.J., 2nd Lieut., 1918
On the Arras Memorial is the name of Second Lieutenant Cuthbert Joseph Peckston, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 22/03/1918.

25th (Tyneside Irish) Battalion

The son of Mr. John Peckston, a Draper and Gentleman’s Outfitter of Norton Road, Stockton-on-Tees, he was born in April 1895 at Stockton. Commissioned and transferred to a Service Battalion 28th March 1917. He was killed in action during the attack at St. Quentin on the 22nd March 1918. He is Remembered on the Arras Memorial, Pas de Calais, France, Bay 2 and 3. His name appears on the War Memorial in Albert Park, Middlesbrough. His name is recorded on a family headstone in Durham Road Cemetery, Stockton-on-Tees, Grave Reference B3.A.34.

Cuthbert Joseph Peckston attended Ushaw College from 1909-1915.

He is remembered at Ushaw College on U10.01 and U10.07 and in Stockton on S138.33
