The son of Matthias and Margaret Robinson of Llandieu, Hartburn, Stockton on Tees. He was awarded the Military Cross and subsequently the Distinguished Service Order (London Gazette 3rd June 1918). Editor’s Note: There is a certain amount of confusion in records as a Captain Frederic Wilfred Robinson of the Canadian Forces is wrongly recorded in some records as being the recipient of the Distinguished Service Order he died in 1915.

Major Robinson is remembered in Stockton on S138.15, S138.16 and S138.18 page 48
