Bubb, T.B.L., L.Cpl., 1915
In Noeux-les-Mines Communal Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 2829 Lance Corporal Thomas Barry Lawson Bubb serving with the 7th Battalion London Regiment who died 16/06/1915.

Thomas Barry Lawson, born 1890 at Sunderland, was the son of Thomas William and Mary. He was baptised 12th March 1890 at St. Barnabas Church, Hendon. His father was a Master Mariner in 1911 on a Tramp Steamer. He had siblings Joseph Raymond (1900) and Mary (1904). Two other siblings had died before 1911.

Thomas attended Bede Collegiate School in Sunderland and the July 1915 Magazine reports his death:-

Wrote from “the front” some extremely interesting letters in which he made the relative positions of various parts of the opposing lines and trenches very intelligible by comparing them with various streets and points in and near Sunderland.

Thomas had embarked for France 18th March 1915.
