The Sunderland Echo 09/07/1919 reports on people receiving presentations:

Lance-Corpl. H.H. Bennett, 20th Batt. The Durham Light Infantry, M.M. During the attack east of Dickebusch on 4th September 1918, he displayed great gallantry and devotion to duty in repairing and maintaining telephone wires under heavy high-explosive shell and gas bombardment. His devotion to duty was most marked, and was largely responsible for communications forward being maintained.
