In Kortrijk (St. Jan) Communal Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of Lieutenant Cecil Oversby SayerSayer, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 07/06/1915.

David Sloan states that he was a lecturer in maths at Sunderland College.

Is he the 'C.O. Sayer' listed underneath a photograph in the 'Evening Chronicle' Saturday Sports page of 7th August 1909 of a Cricket team. The photo includes: F.S. Coble; S.P. Wood; L.P.
