On the Portsmouth Naval Memorial is the name of P/KX 82811 Leading Stoker George Liddle Crow, serving with the Royal Navy who died 24/05/1941.

George 'Dosh' was born on the 28th March 1914 in Sunderland, Durham to James and Edith Crow. The family lived in Fulwell, County Durham. George followed his father's footsteps by joining the Navy in May 1933. He served in a number of ships and establishments to include Victory, Nelson, Dolphin, Cormorant, St Angelo, Vernon, Daedelus, and lastly Hood.

He was 27 years old at the time of his loss.
