Dennis Cutts has provided the following information on his half 2nd great uncle:

John Hall, born 1884, Windy Nook, (Gateshead), County Durham.

He died 30th August 1915 Penshaw, County Durham,
At home serving with the 8th Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment, Private 13282.

Cause of death: pneumonia and syncope.

Burial September 1915, St George's Church, Fatfield, Plot 1312.

John married Annie Isabella Cullen, 1910 Houghton Le Spring area. Daughter of Joannis and Annie Cullen. She was born the 20th April 1888, Silksworth, County Durham, and was baptised the 26th May 1888, St Leonard, Silksworth.

Dennis Cutts adds:

After my 2nd grandfather George Cutts died, my 2nd grandmother remarried a Hall and had a son the John Hall who is buried at St George’s Church, who became a half-brother to my great grandfather. I hope this explains the half.

John Hall is remembered at Penshaw on P29.01 and at Shiney Row on S124.01
