Henry Appleby Fletcher married my grandmother in June 1915. He enlisted in the Yorkshire Regiment but transferred to the 176 Tunnelling Coy. He was killed on 30 June 1916 and is buried in the Hersin Cemetery Extension. My grandmother later married my grandfather.
