In Bapaume Post Military Cemetery, Albert is the Commonwealth War Grave of 27/162 Private Benjamin Doyle, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 01/07/1916.

Derek Johnstone has submitted the following:

Benjamin (Benny) Doyle married Harry Fletcher's sister Annie in 1912. He enlisted in the 4th Tyneside Irish (27th Northumberland Fusiliers) and was killed at La Boiselle on 1 July 1916. His widow remarried and I met her once in around 1962.

Benjamin Doyle is remembered at Fatfield on F44.01, F44.03 and F44.05
