Royal Army Medical Corps
4th March 1945 Age 54

William Kirby has submitted the following:-

Thomas was born in 1890 at Felling, Gateshead the son of Thomas Barker and Caroline Robinson.

In 1911 the family were living at 10 Albert Street, Grange Villa. Father Thomas was a Coal Miner Hewer whilst son Thomas at 20 was a Coal Miner Pony Putter. Two of his three sisters had been born at Escomb.

He married Jane Howe Rodham in 1914. They had a number of children including Gwendoline born 1916, Beatrice born 1919, Thomas B born 1923, Joseph born 1926, Jean born 1929 and Raymond born 1934.

In 1939 the family were living at 1 George Street West Pelton. Thomas was not present.

Thomas joined the Royal Army Medical Corps and died suddenly 4th March 1945 aged 54 years.

Jane added "Eternal Rest Grant unto Him O Lord and Let Perpetual Light shine Upon Him" to his headstone.

Thomas Robinson is remembered at West Pelton on W112.03 and at Pelton Fell on P27.01
