26th October 1918.

Thomas was born in Gateshead in 1886. He was a son of John and Sarah. He has several brothers and sisters including his older brother John, who was also a soldier in the Great War and who was accidentally killed in 1915.

Thomas was a general labourer.

Thomas enlisted at Gateshead and he appears to have served in several regiments including the Lincolns, the Labour Corp. and the London Regiment. He was serving with the Royal Berkshire Regiment when he was killed in action in France 26/10/1918 aged 32 years.

He is remembered on the Commonwealth War Grave headstone of his brother John in Gateshead East Cemetery.
