There is little information available about this soldier at this time.
He was born at Low Fell about 1897 to his mother Ellen.
He enlisted into the army at Newcastle. He joined 11th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers and was later transferred to 12th Battalion. At some point was posted to fight in France. He went missing presumed dead on or since 16 June 1917.
His mother, Ellen, lived at 27 Florence Avenue , Low Fell about the time of his death.
He is listed on the Arras memorial along with nearly 35 thousand of his comrades.
