McDearmid, W., O/Smn., 1939
In Freetown (King Tom) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of C/TD/X 2045 Ordinary Seaman Wilfrid McDearmid, serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 25/10/1939.

Acknowledgments: Barney Rice

H.M.S. Neptune was lost in 1941, so O/Smn. McDearmid must have died from another cause.

He is remembered in Gateshead on G39.103 and on our List of Ships’ crews
