On Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial is the name of 4602 Private Edwin Carver, serving with the 16th (The Queen's) Lancers who died 31/10/1914.

Pauline Priano has supplied the following:

Samuel Edwin joined the 16th Queen’s Lancers in 1914 and was killed that same year October 31st. He is commemorated on the Menin Gate, Ypres, Belgium. He was 36 years old and left a wife, Mary Ann nee Dodgson and two young children, Maggie and Edwin Carver.

He was brother to W.E. Carver
