Wilkinson, T.W., Cpl., 1918
In Longuenesse (St.Omer) Souvenir Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 66582 Corporal Thomas William Wilkinson, serving with the “B” Battery 123rd Brigade, Royal Field Artillery who died 02/04/1918.

The following has been submitted by Peter Walker:

He was the son of George Thomas and Elizabeth Isabella Wilkinson of Sheepwash, Bedlington, Northumberland. An Ironmonger, he was Initiated into 48 Lodge of Industry, Masonic Hall, Gateshead on the 22nd May 1911; Passed 26th June 1911 and Raised on the 24th July 1911. The Lodge Year of Warrant was 1735.

Thomas William was the husband of Sarah Wilkinson of 225 Westbourne Avenue, Gateshead. He enlisted at Gateshead and died of wounds in France on the 2nd April 1918 aged 40. He is buried in Longuenesse (St Omer) Souvenir Cemetery, France Grave Reference V.A.1.

He is remembered in Gateshead on G39.004 and G39.029 and at Bedlington Station on B163.04

He is also remembered in the Masonic Roll of Honour
