Heslop’s Local Advertiser 23/02/1917 reports:

Private Richard Wall, killed in action on Jan.1st. Husband of Ethel Wall, 73 Moore Street, Gateshead. Pte. Wall was a member of the local Rechabites’ Society and, previous to enlisting, worked at Messrs. John Crosby and Son’s Felling Bakery.
