In Railway Dugouts Burial Ground (Transport Farm) is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1441 Sapper William Edward Archbold, serving with the Royal Engineers who died 08/02/1916.

In Gateshead (Saltwell) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads

beloved son of
Joseph H. and Catherine Archbold
killed in action Feb. 8th 1916
aged 23 years.
Also Winifred V. their daughter
who passed away Sept. 6th 1931
aged 30 years.
Also the above
Joseph Henderson
who passed away on Jan. 17th 1951
aged 86 years
also Mary J. Wilson their daughter
who passed away on March 20th 1958
aged 68 years.
Also Alice M. their daughter
who passed away on March 1st 1959
aged 63 years.
