Heslop’s Local Advertiser 21/07/1916 carries a notice which reads:
"A.B. Robert Proctor, died at Naval Hospital, Portland, after service in the Dardanelles, on the 23rd June, aged 26 years. Husband of Francis Annie Proctor, and son of James and Annie Proctor, of Felling."
