He is also named on the Cummertrees Parish War Memorial in Dumfries & Galloway. The reason seems to be his aunt who lived in Powfoot Village in Cummertrees.
Christian Charles Norgaard age 27 Second Lieutenant (124994) "G" 31 Supply Depot, Royal Army Service Corps.
Christian was commissioned from the Officer Producing Centre, R.A.S.C. in March 1940. He was killed when the Dutch troopship Slamat and the destroyers Diamond and Wryneck sank as a result of air attacks by Luftwaffe Junkers Ju 87 dive bombers during the evacuation of British, Australian and New Zealand troops from mainland Greece. Mrs Rebecca Sanderson Young wife of the late Charles Young of Newcastle and Gateshead died at her daughter's home at 8 Ellerslie, Powfoot. Her two daughters are Mrs Riseborough of Powfoot and Mrs Norgaard of Gateshead. (D&G Standard 22/07/1942 page 3)
