In Gateshead East Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

aged 38 years.
Also Sarah wife of the above
who died at Twickenham
March 6th 1943 aged 86 years.
Frances Ethel
beloved wife of W.M. Edgar
of Rock ferry
and elder daughter of the above
died January 4th 1933 aged 47 years.
Also their son
Charles Forster
died December 30th 1948 aged 67 years.
And in memory of their grandson
Sergt. P.D.C. Hutchinson,
Killed in action June 17th 1940
at St. Nazaire France.
