In Potijze Chateau Lawn Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 2488 Private Young Ridley Grey, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 17/05/1915.

In Gateshead East Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

Erected
in loving memory of
Pte. Young Ridley Grey
who was killed in action in France
May 17th 1915 aged 30 years,
interred in the grounds of the
White Chateau, near Ypres.
Deeply mourned.
Also Lieut. Walter George Craig
brother-in-Law of the above
who died a prisoner of war in Germany Nov. 5th 1918 Aged 27 years
Also Barbara beloved wife of
James Grey
died Feb. 25th 1925, aged 74 years.
Also the above
James Grey,
who died April 10th 1940
aged 86 years.
Also Nellie Craig
who died Jan. 9th 1960
aged 66 years.
All at rest.
