Simon Glancey has submitted the following:
Sgt. Robson was killed in Avro Anson I DG755 of No. 4 O.A.F.U. ((Observer) Advanced Flying Unit), which crashed at R.A.F. West Freugh. The Anson was on a night navigation and bombing exercise, and as it approached West Freugh in misty conditions to make a landing, it was directed to go around by the ground controller, stalled, and crashed just outside the airfield. All five crew members were killed.
He is remembered at Blaydon on B118.08 and at High Spen on H106.02 and H106.03
