In Crook and Willington (Hunwick) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 2113205 Aircraftwoman 2nd Class Lorna Griffiths serving with the Women's Auxiliary Air Force who died 17/01/1944.

The name of LACW Griffiths is included on a brass memorial plaque at the Museum at R.A.F. Elvington, York, dedicated to "Members of the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force who died in service in Yorkshire in WWII".
