The following information has been submitted by Shaun Noble:

Son of Francis and Alice Carr; husband of Edith Mary Carr. of Bishop Auckland. Newark coroner was told that Sergeant Carr the son of an engine fitter from County Durham who had married Edith Mary Atkinson in 1935, had been found shot dead in his bunk on 30 October. After hearing he was worried by his health and his RAF work, the coroner recorded a verdict of suicide.

He is remembered in Bishop Auckland on B140.01 and B140.01 page 29
