Sergt. W. Lavers, D.L.I., son of Coun. S. Lavers, of Neville Crescent, Birtley, is a prisoner of war in Germany. He married a daughter of Mr. Hall, of Cross Street, Nettlesworth. His wife received the notification from the War Office on the day following his 25th birthday. Sergt. Lavers is a great impersonator of Maurice Chevalier.
